Cookie Policy

This page lists every cookie and piece of browser storage this site uses. It is short, because we use very little — and nothing that is optional runs unless you have agreed to it.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store, so it can recognise your browser on a later request. Websites also use related technologies such as local storage, which keeps a value in your browser but — unlike a cookie — is never transmitted to a server. We use both, and this page distinguishes between them rather than calling everything a cookie.
2. Our approach
Nothing optional loads until you say yes. On your first visit we ask whether you are happy for us to use analytics. Until you accept, no analytics script is downloaded, no request is made to Google, and no analytics cookie is set. Declining takes one click and the site behaves identically either way.
We do not use cookies for advertising, retargeting, or tracking you across other websites.

That is the complete list. The site sets no cookies at the server level — you can verify this yourself in your browser's developer tools before accepting anything.
4. Other requests your browser makes
Some page assets, such as the icon font, are served from a content delivery network. Requesting a file discloses your IP address to whoever serves it, as a normal part of how the web works. This happens without a cookie being set, and it is not something a cookie banner can prevent — but we would rather state it than leave it out.
Our hosting provider also processes request data, including IP address, to serve and secure the site. That is described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Managing your choice
You can change your mind whenever you like:
- Review your analytics choice — re-opens the banner so you can accept or decline again
- Browser settings — every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, and clear local storage, for this site or all sites
- Google's opt-out — the Google Analytics opt-out add-on blocks analytics across every site you visit
Because analytics are off unless you opt in, doing nothing already leaves you untracked. None of these choices affect your ability to read the site, request an audit or contact us.
6. Changes
If we add or remove a cookie, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated. If we ever introduce something in a new category — advertising, for example — we would ask for consent again rather than rely on a previous answer.
