About Us
About Enginely
Enginely is a search visibility practice headquartered in Canada, working with organizations whose customers research carefully before they make contact. We work on one question: when someone describes their problem — to Google, to a map, or to an AI assistant — does your organization appear, and is what they read about you accurate?
That question used to be answered by a ranking report. It no longer is, which is why we treat organic search, local search and AI visibility as one programme measured three different ways rather than three budgets competing for the same pages.

What is Enginely?
Enginely is an SEO and Generative Engine Optimization practice based in Canada and working internationally. We improve how organizations are discovered, understood, cited and described across traditional search, map results and AI-generated answers — and measure each of those separately, because they fail for different reasons.
- Organic and AI discovery only — no paid media, no social management
- Headquartered in Canada, working with clients globally
- Built for high-trust industries where claims are scrutinised
- Audit first — scope follows the findings, not the other way round
- No guaranteed rankings or promised AI recommendations, ever
- You own everything — accounts, content, documentation, strategy
Why the Work Changed
For twenty years, being found meant ranking on a page of ten blue links. The measurement was crude but honest: you were at position four, or you were not. Most of the industry is still built around that scoreboard.
Discovery has since spread across surfaces that behave nothing like each other. A map result is decided partly by how far away you are. An AI answer is assembled from your pages, your profiles, directories, reviews and sources you have never heard of — and it can name three providers without ever showing a list. A ranking report describes none of this.
Enginely exists because those surfaces share a foundation even though they are measured differently. Pages a crawler can reach, information a machine can interpret, and corroboration from sources you did not write yourself — get those right and you are competing everywhere. Get them wrong and you are invisible everywhere, for the same underlying reasons.
How We Work
Six Things We Hold To
Less a manifesto than a description of what we will actually do when the engagement gets inconvenient.
Diagnose before prescribing
Every engagement starts with an audit, and the audit is allowed to conclude that you need less than you asked for. Recommending a full programme when indexation is the entire problem is how agencies get paid for a quarter and then get fired in the second one.
Show the working
Each recommendation traces a visible line: the customer question, the page or source that should answer it, the change required, and the signal that will show whether it worked. If we cannot draw that line, we have not understood the problem well enough to charge for it.
Report what didn't move
Reports include the months where something failed and the metrics that stayed flat. A report containing only good news is a marketing document, and everyone reading it eventually works that out.
Stay inside what can be claimed
In dentistry, law and healthcare, a page that ranks and is wrong costs more than a page that never ranked. Professional review is built into the publishing schedule rather than added at the end, and sign-off stays with the qualified person at your organization.
Leave you owning everything
Accounts, profiles, content, documentation and the strategy behind them are yours throughout and afterwards. An agency that holds your Google Business Profile or your analytics access is managing a hostage, not a relationship.
One programme, not three campaigns
Organic search, local search and AI visibility draw on the same crawlable pages, the same entity clarity and the same third-party evidence. Run as separate projects they duplicate work and contradict each other; run together each improvement compounds across all three.
What We Will Not Do
Most of what damages a search programme is not incompetence, it is a tactic that works briefly and then costs more than it earned. The list below is not caution — it is the set of things we have decided are not worth the eventual bill.
- Organizations wanting guaranteed rankings, citations or AI recommendations
- Websites nobody is able to change within a reasonable timeframe
- Claims that cannot be substantiated when a regulator or a customer checks
- Link buying, review generation, or manufactured mentions of any kind
- Location pages for markets a business does not genuinely serve
- Immediate lead volume — that is a paid media problem, and we will say so
The awkward consequence is that we occasionally talk organizations out of hiring us, or into hiring us for less. We think that is the correct trade: the alternative is a client who signs quickly, sees nothing, and is right to be annoyed.
Who We Work With
We are built for markets where the decision carries consequence — health, money, legal exposure, professional risk — and where what an organization may claim is constrained by a professional body. That includes dental practices, healthcare providers, law firms, professional and financial services, multi-location businesses and complex B2B companies. Two of those have a dedicated programme today: dental SEO and law firm SEO, with the wider approach set out across our industry programmes.
The work itself is delivered through three connected services — professional SEO, generative engine optimization and local SEO — scoped to whichever constraint the audit identifies rather than sold as a bundle.

Canadian Practice, Global Delivery
Enginely is headquartered in Canada. Client contracting, strategy and account management run through the Canadian practice, and technical delivery, content production and reporting are carried out by a dedicated global specialist team.
We state that plainly rather than leaving it to be discovered, because in legal, dental and healthcare marketing the question always arrives eventually — and a provider who is evasive about it the first time it is asked has already answered a different question about themselves.
