These studies measure presence in generated answers — not clicks, calls, enquiries or revenue. They are single points in time: generated answers are produced fresh per query and vary between runs, so exact citation lists differ on re-runs, while structural findings are far more stable. They cover Google AI Overviews only, which is the widest-reach AI answer surface but not the whole picture. Each study states its own limitations in full.
